This week was a doosie. I remember being tired when pregnant with Dallas...I think I just had more time to actually BE tired then whereas now, I have no time for silly tiredness. As far as feeling well, I do well all day and still at about 5 pm it hits me. But, I'll take it.
We had a full week of inservice this week. Meet the teacher night, for both Dallas and myself. I have to say, I think this is the biggest turnout I've had. I think I met about 80% or so of my 110 students. Sadly most told me they didn't like English! HA! Wait till I get a hold of them, they're going to love it.
Dallas was a tad overwhelmed at first at his meet the teacher night by the sheer mass number of people there. It was nuts. I think his teacher. Mrs. Killon, is going to be fantastic. I just hope he behaves well and learns in the process.
August 18 was our 9 year anniversary and I received some of the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen. I'm truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband who loves us both with all his heart.
Kindergarten today, I don't think, was all Dallas thought it was cracked up to be. He was excited when we left home. He cried when his bus came to my school because "it's not the same as last year." But I hugged him and put him on anyway. I think his day went well. He said he made some new friends and fun in Mrs. Killion's class getting his "wiggles" out at song time. But...then the end of the day came. I picked him up as quick as I could, but that car rider line was insane! I got there at 3:20 and didn't get him until 4. There were people lined up behind me like crazy too! It was nuts. He said "Mom, I thought you were never coming!" His face was all red and everything by the time he got in the car he cried so hard. Hope for better days tomorrow.
I remember how hot the kids would be waiting in the car line at BBE...poor little guy...hope that all of you are adjusting to school now...last week was a rough one for us!
