I went to Dr. Everson (our beloved "baby doctor") and heard great news...the heartbeat again! I love that sound, has to be one of the best in the world. All my bloodwork from my last visit came out fantastically so I don't have to proceed on. You can see my growing tummy, as well as my growing little man! Let's face it, he's not so little. Look how tall he is and he's 5! I'll be looking up to him by age 10, I just know it.
I have started to feel much better during the day but the evening/nighttime nausea still gets me. I tried my friend Erin's remedy of eating chocolate chips, didn't help. Did taste good so I threw back a few more.
Just mere days and my baby will enter kindergarten. I'm sure there will be tears shed on my part but he'll do fantastically. I thought about it yesterday and how soon he'll start reading and got teary just thinking about it. He's grown up so fast! Where have the last 5 years gone?
Dallas and I had an interesting converstaion today as well...here's how it went.
Dallas: "Mom, I made my little brother a mii."
Me: "How do you know it's a boy honey?
Dallas: "If you ask for a boy, you'll get one and I already asked God."
Me: Left starting at my son with a dumbfounded look on my face.
So what does any good daughter do when she's got no clue on how to follow up a conversation....I called my parents. Goo-Gee laughed and agreed with me on the "Touche" factor. Baw-Baw told me to pass on the widsom of "we ask God for what we want and He gives us what we need." I told Dallas that and he nodded at me. I followed up with, "Honey, we can't send it back, you get what you get." Dallas then went on his merry way secretly doubting my widsom....since he ALREADY asked God!
Love the baby bump! Glad to hear all is going well.
