Mid-June brought us much joy when I got a positive home pregnancy test! I couldn't believe it. I was shocked...so I took two more just to make sure. Low and behold I had three positive results. I broke the news to David on Father's Day. July led us on our yearly journey to Lake Sam Rayburn to hang out with Aunt Barbara and Uncle Bill. This year my Uncle Gene and Bernadette came too and Dallas just adored him from the beginning. Uncle Gene managed, I really don't know how, to catch the cutest fish I've ever seen. Really, how'd that fish get that lure in it's mouth? Don't worry, there's pictures coming. Check that out, that's talent!
July 22 was a great day for me. On this extremely warm day, I turned 30. I always think of how miserable Mom must have been that pregnant in the hottest summer on record in the state of TX...1980. We celebrated my birthday with family and close friends at Sam's Boat (which I highly recommend if you have a love of sea food like myself). I had a great time and enjoyed my first truly GREAT cake since my Celiac diagnosis in 2007.
